Just plain HORRIBLE!!

Pros:definitely faster than the Basic DSL
Cons:bad tech guy, connectivity issue, no wifi, cutting on and off
The Bottom Line: Well those are the problems I am dealing with. If you are lucky, you should be fine. Get it at your own risk. :P
Be prepare for my life story with u-verse.
Just change my basic dsl (1mbp less) to u-verse (12mbps) like 13 days ago. I was really excited about the change, I can finally watch movie without buffering!! The box came, it was huge, that's not the problem. So I set it up at the activation day it was given. I use it, it was way faster and there are no other problems.
Well, that didn't last, on the sixth day I have no Internet connection for a whole day, or I should say it started on the fifth day's night. All the lights in the box are red, except the power. I call ATT, they set up an appointment for me in that same day. I was happy. The tech guy came, walk in without telling me is there a charge and started to unplug wires. I stop him and ask, is there a charge? He says yes, $99. I ask him how come there will be a charge, he answer it was my house wire problem. I told him it was working perfectly fine for almost a week, how come when it is not working is my house problem. I dismiss the tech guy. Call ATT again, and wanted to cancel my u-verse. To me, paying more for a better service is fine, but there is no point to pay even more for a problem that doesn't exist when I use DSL. The guy from the cancellation department offer to waive the $99, I accepted. Then he told me to wait and transfer me to the technical support, the guy from tech support says there will be a charge. Since it will be wiave, I told him to just make an appointment for me the next day. The next day the Internet is working fine, but the tech guy never came.
On the 12th day, I have problem with the Internet again. This time, it is the wifi problem. There is Internet for the computer where the box is connected to, but no wifi in the house. So I call ATT again, the guy told me to restart my laptop, and manually type in the wifi address. Okay, there is wifi on my laptop, but with only one bar, and I am sitting right next to the box with my laptop. I try to walk to my room with the computer, and the wifi is gone. The guy say he can sent out a tech to see what is going on, I say no. That night I went to the ATT live chat, and talk to a guy Tier2 Micheal about my problem. (Still no wifi) He offer me the $55 fix if it is my house wire problem, I accept it, and he set another appointment for me the next day from 4-8 pm.
On the next day, another type of problem appear. This time the Internet is cutting on and off. Since the tech guy will come in the afternoon, I didn't call ATT. I waited, it was 7:48, the guy still didn't show up. (this time the Internet is working) I go to ATT live chat again and ask them where is the tech guy. The person told me no appointment was make to go to my house. WHAT THE F* Two times in a roll with nobody showing up. The person offer to make another appointment for the next day with the $99. At this time, I am just tired of dealing with ATT, so I told the person very nicely, "thank you for your service, i will just call ATT tomorrow and cancel the u-verse, bye"
Yep, that's the 13 days experiment with ATT u-verse. Calling them tomorrow to cancel the service, and will change it to Time Warner.
