I purchased this fridge at Home Depot 2 years ago after substantial trouble with another, less expensive model that we were able to return.

For 2 years, the fridge did its job as expected. At least that's what we thought. Only recently I noticed an occasional puddle on the side, and the wood on the floor and the bottom of the cabinets warping.
I was able to determine the source of the leak - the drip pan that is meant to hold the water from defrosting and condensation until it evaporates. Because there was never a lot of water in the pan when I noticed a leak, I concluded that the pan must be cracked, ordered a new one, and replaced it. This sounds easier than it was, because the pan is only accessible from the rear, after removing the bottom panel and 2 screws that hold the water inlet valve. I was able to confirm the crack in the pan, and the leak is fixed. Because the pan in an internal part that is not subject to wear and tear, it is safe to assume that the problem existed from the start. Maytag was completely unhelpful in the process, because my warranty is up (there is only 1 year).
So we have a manufacturing defect that resulted in a ruined hardwood floor and the manufacturer refuses to acknowledge any responsibility.
Aside from this issue, I am also not impressed with how the ice maker and water dispenser work. The ice bucket in the door is not ideal because it tends to melt and water leaks out from the dispenser. I don't think it is very practical either or saves space, compared to our old Whirlpool that had the ice container in the top drawer.
