There are three different antenna you can purchase, all which will work with the Pioneer Satellite Radio tuner. Each have their different benefits, while also having their problems. All work well, bringing you 24/7 of pure digital radio without the bad quality you find in FM or AM stations. With XM and Sirius radio, you get 100 channels of satellite radio.
Tall
The best part about this antenna is it's height, which help it pick up stations a little easier than the TERK SR2. While you can pretty much get the service anywhere, there are times when it just won't happen because of a tall building, tree's, mountains, etc.
It is also sealed, like the SR2, and should not leak from moisture. The glass-mount antenna has this problem, which will cause spotty service if installed improperly.
If you have a problem with how your satellite radio sounds, and have that antenna, have a professional take a look at it...you may have this problem.
Too tall
Some people don't exactly like the look of a fin like the one the AN-90XM antenna has, because it takes away from the profile of the car. This is why most people purchase the SR2 roof-mount, which looks like a computer mouse, or the glass mount, which mounts to the rear glass window, like a cell-phone antenna.
It's all about looks
For the most part, all three antenna's work great, depending on how it was installed and the quality of that work. If you want something low-profile, go with the TERK SR2. Want something like a cell-phone antenna...get the glass-mount. If you want the best antenna for continual uninterrupted service, I suggest the Pioneer AN-90XM antenna.
