The Bottom Line: I recommend this one for the looks, features, and the sound. It is $200 less that a wave radio and Sounds much better.

| jh1121's Full Review: Aiwa NSX-DS55 Mini Theater System |
I got this stereo for Christmas. I couldn't believe I got it. But I couldn't wait to try it out. So I first hooked up just the two main speakers and put in a CD, I couldn't believe how good it sounded, without any other speakers or the subwoofer. After awhile I hooked up the whole system in my room and I couldn't believe I had surround sound in my room. I noticed that the surround speakers don't give out as much sound or you cant hear everything coming out of it. It's either the voices or the music. But I talked to a few of my friends and they said that the surround speakers were supposed to be like that. But I don't have a DVD player yet. But it has an "optical" connection espically made for DVD Players and I heard that it sounds the best. But anyways the two main speakers have "160mm" woofers and "3way bass reflex" just for the two main speakers which sounds good enough by itself. It has two surround speakers, and one powerful center speaker. But it also includes (not pictured) a subwoofer. I measured the subwoofer and it looks like an 8". I also took a flashlight and looked in the hole and saw pexiglass. But anyways the bass sounds so awesome. But my friend's stepdad just bought a "Bose Wave Radio" with CD for $500. And I think that this sounds 3 times better (literally). Sometimes there is too much bass when you turn it up. But there are several ways to control it. There are also allot of features like GEQ (Graphic Equilizer) which has "Rock", "PoP", and "Classic." But it has a ton more of features that are really cool. I think this one is really worth it. I highly recommend this stereo, and I highly recommend Aiwa.
