Opinion Summary
Bad Experience

Placed an order on 3/1. After checking status and getting the "being manufactured" message for 5 weeks, decided to call on 4/4. Told that they were waiting on material and would probably ship on 4/22. Had to cancel order, as company has no credibility...

I recently placed and order with BlindsGalore.com. The sales representative was very helpful in assisting me. Unfortunately, 3 weeks later I have no blinds. During this time they changed their online Order Tracking form. At first, I received a summary of my order, but was unable to scroll through it to see the status of anything but the first few items. I emailed them about the form, but never received any response.
Mid-last week (about 5/21) the website was updated. I now received a "case number" and was told that someone from customer service would contact me in one day. That never happened. I called on 5/28 only to be told that they were waiting on my template (paper copy of non-standard arch window) to be delivered. (I sent 5/9 and was received 5/17 according to USPS delivery confirmation - shouldn't have taken that long, but that's another story).

1. Sales rep told me that my order would be split since 2 different companies would be supplying blinds. Finally got customer service to find part of the order with an expected ship day of 6/5, exactly one month after I placed the order! They cannot tell me when they processed and placed the order with Levelor - only said that Levelor was experiencing major delays. How am I to know if this is true or not if they can't/won't tell me the date they processed the order?

2. Sales rep told me that my order with Graber would be processed with a "placeholder" (my word, I can't remember what they used) or generic template, so that the material needed for my arched window would be set-aside while the rest of the order was processed and shipped. I thought it sounded fishy, but they reassured me that this was customary. They are telling me that they are waiting for my template, which the USPS shows as being received on 5/17, but no one at BlindsGalore can find. They cannot tell me if the order has been forwarded to Graber. They are "checking on it with the experts". I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and they were "All in a meeting". Meanwhile, they charged my account in full 2 days after receiving my order (so far the only thing that they have done quickly). I requested to have this part of my order cancelled since it has not been processed, but now the customer service person back-pedalled and said that he doesn't know what is going on. He will have to wait until he hears from his "experts" to know if anything has been processed. I told him that I don't want them tracking down the template. If the order has not been sent to Graber I want it cancelled now!!!!

Maybe you should include more info about the site. The objective of reviewing online stores like this one is to let others know if it's worth to visit their site, is it easy or difficult to navigate through the pages, how is the ordering process (annoying, long, a walk in the park), and so on and so forth. If you update your review, "keep me posted" and send me a link so I can reread and re-rate it later.
