Well gee... (Reply to this comment)

I always liked Mello Yello personally. I hadn't ever really thought about it as a substitute for Mountain Dew because it tastes a whole lot differently than MD does...
No idea what is up with the ratings on your review here. I guess it is that bug that they are talking about.

My thoughts:
Well stated tribute.
Even in the bottle or a fire hydrant, Mountain Dew looks like a "gift" from someone with radiation poisoning.

Caffinee Free???? (Reply to this comment)

Oh my gosh!!! We must live in the wrong part of the country--no such animal here. I love Dew, but caffeine sends me running to make different kinds of "gifts."

. . . I are both Pepsi proponents.

But I am afraid that "Moutain Dew" is "Mountain Don't" with us.

None-the-less, your posting was very much to my taste.

Nicely done.

A few thoughts about review and comments... (Reply to this comment)

...I love the way they played the guy butting heads with the ram. If they had played it for laughs it would not have 'worked' as well, IMHO.

Re: SurgRN911's comment about "fire hydrant gifts". I work in a hospital lab dealing with 'gifts' daily. And I simply can't stand looking at a glass of M. Dew...:-)

I remember the MD hillbillies ("Yahoo! Mountain Dew!)" I think they disappeared about the time the Beverly Hillbillies left network TV--even though being a top-rated show. The network wanted to go for a more sophisticated viewership. As perhaps the sellers of MD did.

Anyway...very nice review!!

Give me a mountain with nothing to do (Reply to this comment)

And I still can't drink this stuff, and I have tried. It's better in the can than a glass though because that yellow color reminds me of lets just say fire hydrant gifts.

Speaking of gifts I think everyone did a fine job of presenting Peter with an Epinion day he will remember. Great job with your review, and the hits just keep on coming. Thanks

If not for fights and disagreements, I would have nothing to say to most of my family. Love the Dew commercial of the guy butting heads with the Ram...
