Pros: excellent connection quality and strength, small and easy to conceal.
Cons: price was somewhat steep. Tech Support may as well not exists...
The Bottom Line: Great for getting internet to other floors without using Cat5 Cable. Can also be used with a laptop to surf the net outside on the lawn.

| shmeles's Full Review: Linksys Instant Wireless Network WUSB11 (WUSB11-AT... |
After moving my computer up to my room, I obviously had to have an internet connection. Cabling Cat5 cable through my house was not an option. It's no easy to conceal, and I don't want to cut holes in the wall. After going to my local tech store, I saw the Linksys BEDW11S4 Wireless Router (which I also reviewed) and the WUSB11. After installing the Router, i had the internet running from my computer, 3 floors up, in about 5 minutes. At the time, I was running Win XP, and there weren't any drivers, but after dealing with that, I had a blast. The connection speed was amazing. I couldn't tell that the connection was being sent wirelessly. The speed was the exact same as if I had my cable modem plugged right into my computer.
One down side was I found the recieption was dramatically different if I had the WUSB11 inside or outside of my room. Inside, near the door, the connection was o.k., but outside, the connection strength was always over 85%
A secondary bonus, was that I could file share with my other computer. I was also able to share the one and only printer, which made things easier. Instead of ferrying everything down 3 floors on disks, I could just queue it, and pick it up later on.
One factor of how well the WUSB11 works is the type of material used to construct the building you're using it in. A cement house would block most of the signal, while less dense materials would allow the signal to pass quite easily.
One small negative feature with this is that it takes up a USB port. Most computers only have 2, so that's half of them gone. With a lot of peripherials coming out now with USB (like the Canon S750 Printer and Canoscan N67OU Scanner, both of which I reviewed) most people already own a USB HUB, or plan on getting one. So that isn't so much of an issue anymore.
