Class action suit???

Pros:None
Cons:Too many to list
The Bottom Line: This company has no business sense. Why risk all the negative publicity

Since my girlfriend signed up for service with MCI on one of their cell phone contracts, she has had nothing but trouble. Her original plan, an "AT&T" plan, was so bad that she was unable to talk on her phone for more than a few minutes before the service cut out. And it wasn't the area because my phone worked fine. She went on with this for a few months until she got fed up and switched to another plan. This time it was with "Verizon". (The thing to mention is that they misrepresent themselves by saying that you are getting an AT&T or a Verizon plan. You are getting an MCI/Worldcom plan. I have had Verizon service and have never had a problem with my phone, service, or dealing with customer service.) So she has her original contract cancelled and turns in her phone to the sales rep and a week or so later gets her new phone. A few weeks later her service gets turned off. Her original contract was never cancelled and her phone was set up improperly. When I called Verizon to find out what was going on, they said they had no record of her number. So we called MCI and tried to find out what was going on. That finally got straightened out, three days later. When she got the next bill, she was being charged for two contracts and two phones and long distance (which she was told would be included). Finally she called them and cancelled her contract. Two bills later, she was still being charged for long distance??? (on a cancelled contract) and tax on the 200 dollar cancellation fee. How is this company that has basically stolen money going to try and justify charging tax on a cancelled contract? If anything, MCI should be refunding the money that was paid because there was never any service. I am just wondering, after reading so many reviews, what kind of suit can be brought against this company. Or what can be done so that upper management finds out about company policy unless they are the people responsible. If anyone is interested in pursuing this please e-mail me at: Ihateworldcom@yahoo.com
I trhink it is about time something is done
