Thanks for stopping by and reading. Going over the directions once again I found no reason given for such a small amount of soap. They did enclose Cascade Complete but did not come right out and say in the book that is what you should use. Maybe it is more concentrated than the others, I don't know, just know the dishwasher works fantastic.
Now for the facial, never gave that a thought with the steam coming from the dishwasher. Might have to give it a try.

Most dishwasher manufacturers recommend how much soap to add based on water hardness. The harder your water is, the more soap you need to use. The water at my house is so hard we have to use a water softener. Because of the softener, I use very little soap in the machine. So if you have water that has very little hardness, but use a lot of soap, you are wasting your soap. Most cleaning problems encountered in machines today are because of the water hardness and temperature, not the machine itself, as long as the machine was at least a mid-range or higher model.

I love my dishwasher, but some of the features on yours are terrific! I'm amazed at the small amount of soap powder you need! It makes me wonder if I couldn't get away with that on mine. Is there a reason given as to why so little. Does it dispense only part of it in each cycle, or what? I was just wondering.
Then, the fantastic thing was the steam vent! I had to laugh because I bought one of those facial steamers and inhaler for breathing problems - and thought what a great thing! You could, perhaps, incorporate that and have your own facial right there at the dryer. It's a thought?
Great review,

Thanks for reading. I did not consider another Wards as they have gone out of business. The old Wards one was just something that came along at the right time when my old Kenmore died. It did serve us well though.

Mrs. Spudman would be envious.
Had you considered buying another Wards dishwasher?
