Advantage Supplements was a site that I came across by complete accident. I was doing a price check on Designer Protein’s new flavor – GlycerLEAN and had no real luck. One of the names that I came across happened to be Advantage Supplements so I decided to poke around the site and see what some of the prices looked like compared to what I was paying. In almost every case, Advantage Supplements was within $1.00 – but when I looked at what I would be saving with shipping and handling I knew I had found a new place to order my supplements.
If you participate in any type of sport, run, lift weights or are just health conscious, you really should check out Advantage Supplements to see if you can save a few extra dollars. I have ordered seven times and have received exactly what I ordered – plus – the orders arrived well within the time frame that was quoted.

99% of the products listed at the site are referenced with a general description, photo and nutritional specifications. One of the advantages this site has over the others is that they list the ingredients for almost every product. This is a godsend for me since I am allergic to coconut and coconut oil. By being able to look at the ingredients before I order something I can save myself time, money, the hassle of returning a product – plus I won’t have to sit in a chair wheezing and swelling up from an allergic reaction.
The site is extremely easy to use – the sidebar on the main page lists the manufactures names and leads you to a jump page with products and pricing. From there you can get even more information on products and in some cases suggestions of other flavors or brands. Ordering is painless as well. You personal shopping cart walks you through each stage of the process and will show you the shipping charges before you confirm and pay for your purchase.

So, you can see that there are some differences between websites, but you have to really look at the bottom line. Advantage Supplements offers you a flat rate for shipping – regardless of size. You can easily save $ 20.00 - $ 30.00 in shipping and handling fees which more than makes up for a dollar or two in the price of the product.
These three items I have listed are products that I used on an almost daily basis. Compared to retail stores such as Nutri-Sport, GNC and Trader Joe’s - Advantage Supplements prices are comparable. In the case of GNC, I’ve found that almost every time, with every product, Advantage Supplements prices are between 10 – 15 % less.
I would have listed Xenadrine in my price comparison but the price fluctuates on an almost daily basis at some website.
Methods of Payment
Advantage Supplements accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. They have a secure server so all your transactions are completely safe. They do not accept personal checks, money orders or ship orders C.O.D. [cash on delivery].
Shipping Fees
One of the nicest things about ordering from Advantage Supplements is the fact that the shipping fees are simple. All ground orders, regardless of size or amount, is a flat fee of $5.95 via UPS – providing that the shipping address is located within one of the 48 contiguous States . Orders over $200.00 receive free shipping, again, providing the delivery address is within one of the 48 contiguous States..
Orders to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and military addresses ship via the United States Postal Service using Priority Mail. In this case, the customer is required to pay the actual shipping fees that will be calculated when you place your order, but prior to confirmation and payment. Advantage Supplements does not charge sales tax regardless of what state you live in.
Return Policy
Advantage Supplements will accept returns on unopened products for 30 days from the date you receive your product. Opened containers or products should be returned directly to the manufacturer. The only exception is Muscletech items, these need to be returned directly to Muscletech. As with more online vendors, any bars ordered that are damaged by heat exposure are not returnable.

The Bottom Line
If you are sick of getting gouged by supplement retailers, you really should checkout Advantage Supplements. I’ve never had a single order arrive damaged, in error or later than quoted. While I have never had to return a product, I am pretty sure that they will do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is satisfied. Unless I am in a complete bind and need to pick up a few bars – this will be the only place I’ll be turning to for my sport nutrition needs!
