I bought this scope from out local Camera Store wanting to get my children interested in astronomy. I tried different scopes in the same price range only to take them back. When I saw this telescope at out local Ritz Camera store I asked the clerk if I could get his opinion on this scope. He was very open and honest about it and told us that it was not a bad buy if you are starting out and on a very limited budget.

When I took it home and set it up in our back yard, we have a nice dark sky where we live, I was very impressed by its quality and sharpness of image. I could see the rings on saturn and the moons of Jupiter. I could even see the Hurcules cluster which was very fascinating to me.

All in all I would deffinately suggest this to all beginners.
