I ordered this sub because a knowledgeable friend said it was the best of its size. I had never actually seen the thing until I got it home. My first impression as I opened the box was shock. WOW, this thing is a tank! The basket is extremely rigid, and the magnet is mammoth! It weighs a lot for its size. Build quality is very impressive.

Since I was in the spirit of doing my car stereo stuff right, I made my own box to Boston's specified and incredibly small size (0.3 ft^3). This is good because it fits behind my seat in my tiny MR2. Be sure and listen to Boston when it comes to overbuilding the box. This sub will cause any underbuilt box to explode!

My sub is powered by a bridged Alpine V12 amp (about 100 watts RMS). There is no way I can even come close to the power handling capabilities of this sub with this amp! Boston says that you have purchased the finest the industry has to offer, and they are right!

The sound is amazing. It is a very clean sub. It has extremely quick response so you don't get a rolling off after a hard bass hit. The sub just follows the music. While this sub definitely punches, you will want a bigger one if you want your car to shake and rattle. I bought this sub to fill in the bass so my music sounds like it was intended. It does this beautifully. If you want to transport a rave into your car, this is not the sub for you. If you like clean, full, great sounding music, it will do the trick better than most its size.
