please check user feedback (Reply to this comment)

Very nice review regarding ebay. I would like to add that checking a seller's or buyer's feedback is very important. While I am new to epinions, I've been with ebay for awhile as a seller. As a buyer or a seller, you may not want to be involved in a transaction with anyone who has negative feedback for non-pay, slow-pay, slow shipping, lousy packing, or for being rude & nasty.
Personally, I do not care to do business (or have a relationship) with people who get into name calling or taking cheap shots....and I definately am not into dealing with dead-beats. Feedback is a pretty good way of insuring good transactions.

until this past month I have only shopped E-bay but since then, about 3 weeks, I have sold over $350 worth of my stuff!!! Good stuff too, just tired of the things or haven't used them in a while...One thing though, it is time comsuming but then, so is epinions!! But at least with E-bay the payoff is so much bigger...well, off to go look through my closets again

a viscious cycle of addiction with this site- I love it! There will come a time when I look at all the things I have bought, and I swear off of it for a while- then a few months later, I'm back!
Great info, great review!

One thing... (Reply to this comment)

..you might want to be aware of...
There is a new frustration with ebay. If you wait until the last minute to bid, there are certain people who have obtained software that will effectively jam up the bidding for the last 5 minutes or so, monopolizing the bids.
Even if you can get a bid through HIGHER than their highest, you still will lose.
Many of the sellers are furious about it, but ebay continues to allow it.
I have lost many an auction to someone like that. The pages will not load, or the bid will just jam out there in limbo.
Pretty stupid, considering that the fun is to have an equal playing field. With this software, it is no longer an auction but a power trip.
Cheating, if you will.
Great review, Bryan, it was fun to read.

Maybe you'll find out that it is more addicting because you'll get more than a few cents for your effort?
I have an eBay-addicted husband . . . as yet, I don't think there's a 12-step program!

Newly Hooked (Reply to this comment)

My sister just got me hooked on ebay because there was a 3d puzzle CD that I wanted. I did get the puzzle because I didn't realize one should wait till the last minute to bid. However, I did sell one of my puzzle CD's and have a 45 record up now. Thinking of lots of other things to post too. This could get as addicting as epinions.
