| shmeles's Full Review: Canon S 300 Inkjet Printer |
I bought this printer with my father since he didn't have one to begin with. Going along with my excellent experience with Canon imaging products, I highly recommended this printer to him.
The printer is small, and great for people who have limit space for a printer. with the paper feeder and tray, it take a bit of lateral space, but is fine for a top shelf on a computer desk.
Setup was easy like 1-2-3. attatch the print head, but in the ink. turn on computer, install software, turn on printer and voila! This whole process took me about 2 minutes, even with a little bit of inattention.
Print quality in black was terrific. Solid black, no lines or anything. I won't recommend anything near photo-quality prints for a number of reasons. One reason being that the quality isn't as good as some of Canon's other models, and the other reason being that I'm too worried the color will run out after one print. The color ink cartridge is relatively small, but if you needed photo-quality prints, then you shouldn't buy this in the first place.
Overall a great printer for students printing out reports with color, but photo quality is somewhat questionable.
