Computer Geeks are hands down the champion of online discount shopping for computers, accessories and consumer electronics. I've bought item after item including, CD burner, 19 inch monitor, blank CD-Rs, mice, cables, printers and speakers. I have been 100% satisfied with every purchase. Only once did I have a problem, with the printer. It came with a bad ink cartridge, and Computer Geeks replaced it, free of charge, and overnighted it to me! It was superb customer service!
Their website is also a fine specimen of functionality. Everything is neatly organized and easily accessible, all items are coded with a legend located at the top of every page that tells you if the item is new, used, refurbished, mac compatible, etc... Each item has detailed descriptions so you always know what you are getting. Adding items to the shopping cart and checking out is smooth and error free. Everything you'd expect from a website that lists it's visitor count in hexidecimal code as well as the more common numerical format we simple carbon units use.
Prices are extremely low, so low that if I can find what I need there I'd rather buy it and pay for shipping from Computer Geeks than go to a local store and have it immediately. They even have a section for small inexpensive items or closeouts. I find myself always tossing a few items, like a mini keyboard vacuum or geek toolset, into my cart for a couple extra bucks on the way to checkout. Shipping is done through UPS and tracking info is linked from your order status page to UPS' website to follow your order from their shop in Oceanside, CA all the way to your doorstep.
These guys were originally referred to me by word of mouth and ever since I have been answering every "where can I find.." question about all things tech with a definitive "CompGeeks.com". Try 'em and you'll be an avid customer too!
