Pros: Inexpensive
Generally easy to operate
Cons: Pre-installed software leaves a lot to be desired.
The Bottom Line: Decent GENERAL USE computer. Not for gamers (and if you wanna spice up your desktop with Windows XP Plus! - this computer won't support it)

| dvmarie's Full Review: HP Pavilion P6318A Celeron MMX 1.3 GHz / 60GB / 5... |
I have this model, and I can't say that I'm happy with it. It was given to me as a gift (and you know what they say about the "gifthorse"). It is easy to operate - XP is probably most of the reason. The big problem I have with it is that the video card is only 4mb (with the ability to boost up to 11mb) - and it's built onto the motherboard (integrated). I (and others...all my tekky friends have tried to help) have tried to upgrade by installing a new video card - with no luck (tried 3 different PCI video cards - none would take). HP company DOES NOT assist at all - they won't recommend a card that will work on this machine (maybe because none will? I dunno) - and they won't offer guidance on anything "third party". Frustrating. You might want to know that this motherboard only has extra PCI slots (no AGP).
BTW: If you are looking to load XP Plus! on this machine - FORGET IT! - Windows XP Plus! requires 16MB video memory.
