My Ordering Experience
This place ranks up there within my top ten favorite online technology stores. The service is fantastic and prices are right on target. Shipping isn't too bad and orders arrive promptly and without incident. They have a mega product selection that leave me with a feeling of having had a *complete* shopping experience.
I received my second order from them this afternoon. As a matter of fact, it was about one hour and 45 minutes ago. I couldn't wait to get my new Fellowes P700 strip cut shredder. I will be reviewing this in a few days as well. I didn't feel that my first order was sufficient to properly review this site but this will sure do it.
The shredder arrived *right on time* and in perfect condition. I paid $76.95 for it and an additional $14.65 for USP ground shipping. I ordered on a Tuesday and got it today. This would be Monday. So, it took less than a week. I am a happy camper. I needed this because of increasing concern for privacy intrusion. Many have experienced credit card problems and checking account problems by throwing items away for the local trash pick-up. I will not have to worry about this anymore. All they will have to view is shreds of information. LOL!
Site Information + Navigation
When you first arrive at Computers4SURE.com you will notice an attractive color scheme and organized layout. All sites should be this organized! The site is colored in blue, black, white, and a splash of red here and there. Everything is positioned on the left, so any browser should be able to view their site without a problem what-so-ever.
Pages load very fast and I did find that surprising considering the amount of graphics they display. They must really have them optimized to the fullest.
This site loves tabs and so do I. I was thrilled when Epinions added their tab feature. It just makes a site so much easier to navigate through. At the top, you will find many tabs. Those tabs will list all their product categories. When you click on a category, you will notice that it will have a drop down menu as well. All these do. This makes for smooth surfing through sub-categories.
On the side bar you will see links to all their various search features, customer service, shopping cart, and even offered ways to help you with your shopping experience.
Computers4SURE.com even offers a connect speed test. I love this! I tested my connection speed and it recorded at 116.8kbps. This is way slow for what it should be though. But they tell you to take into consideration site traffic when testing. A cool gadget for you to play with.
You will notice as you mouse over a link on the side bar, a menu will appear to the right that will list everything in that category. Very handy.
Things that you will find at Computers4SURE.com are computers, scanners, software, PDA's, networking, notebooks, memory, modems, storage, projectors, supplies, office products (my weakness), servers, accessories, printers, monitors, peripherals, cameras, and clearance items. On the side bar there is the great search feature, a current list of their top brands, vendor showcase, their special features, their e-mail address and all contact info. I honestly cannot believe that for whatever you are looking for in the tech related field, you would not be able to find it at Computers4SURE.com. They have one of the largest, if not the largest selection that I have seen on an online store.
Customer Care, shipping info, and policies
You will find, anytime you are looking for support or product support, you are able to find the links to this info easily. Everything will pop up in a small window on the same page. I really like that because I don't always want to leave the page that I am currently on.
Computers4SURE.com is big on customer support, whether it be questions about an shipment, payment, or whatever. Everything that could possibly be relevant to your account or purchase is covered on a side bar within the pop up. They are prompt to respond to e-mail and are very helpful over the telephone. I talked to them back in December when I first ordered from them and they are very polite and helpful. They seem determined that you be happy about your experience with them. The toll free number that is available for you to call is 1-800-computer or 1-800-266-7883.
Shipping is not that bad. I have definitely seen worse. I know that you could get free shipping with some other companies, but are you really getting the high quality merchandise or customer service that Computers4SURE.com offers?
As with many .com's, this one does not offer international shipping. A shame but I suppose that many are worried about the trouble that goes with it at times. Shipping rates just get out of hand when shipping out of the U.S.
Of course, shipping charges are non-refundable when returning a purchase. And the return charges are your responsibility. You have the standard 30 days after purchase to return an item and only 10 days after receiving your RMA number. All products are sold with the manufacturer warranties and you should strongly consider a carrier that can be tracked when shipping back to them.
Something Extra
Computers4SURE.com offers a comprehensive tutorial section. There are tutorials on just about anything you can imagine. They claim to have the best on the web. I have not used this feature, so am unable to say much about it other than a mention.
My overall recommendation
I do not hesitate to recommend you give this company a try. Give them the once over and I believe you will be just as impressed with them as I am. I will not use them for every purchase, such as software, but I will use them often. I really love the attentive service they have shown me.
