DVD City also does business as DTV City and sells a wide range of high-end HDTVs. I was in the market for a flat-panel TV and was very nervous about shelling out several grand to an online retailer. However, DTV City was much more knowledgeable than the local retailers in NYC and actually had products in stock!
Ordering was simple - I called twice to check on their policies, etc. and found the staff helpful and polite even when I clearly stated I was "just looking." The DTV City site also has many links to reviews it sponsors, which is also helpful since so few people own these products.
I also can't complain about fulfillment. My 37-inch Panasonic came on time, was immaculately packed and I have had absolutely no problems with it.
Things to watch out for? Read the return/warranty policies carefully; although I didn't have any problems I believe you may only be able to return products to the manufacturer in the case of anything except shipping damage. Phone support also isn't available 24-7, and tracking isn't great through Bekins, the freight carrier they used. But all in all, I'm very happy with their service and the fact that I saved several hundred bucks at least by buying online.
