I use mwave.com (Multiwave Direct Online Store) for ordering most of my supplies for computer building. They offer some of the lowest prices for customizing you own computers at home.
The site is easy to navigate, the home page starts out with Showcases of some of the best products along with Hot Deals and Best Sellers.
To the Left is a menu of options to go to and a very nice search engine that will find anything they have by just a keyword or brand name.
Product Catalog
Clicking on the Product catalog on the left side of the home page will list in alphabetical order a listing of what is available.
My favorite areas to go to is Memory, this takes you to a listing of four brands of memory including their own brand name. I have always bought their brand name and never had any problems with their memory. Clicking on the Mwave Brand Memory takes you to another list, here you have a choice of different types of memory, I always click on the DDR DIM (184 PINS) memory. Here they have PC2100 (266MHZ), PC2700 (333MHZ) and PC3200 (400MHZ) all at reasonable prices that are hard to beat.
Another area I like is Motherboards this takes you to a listing of the brand names like Biostar, FIC, SOYO, Tyan, Abit and many more. Click on the brand name you wish and it will list all they carry with all the information you need on each motherboard.
There are other favorite listings like Barebone Systems, Processors/CPU, CD/DVD Rewritable and many more.
Service
Service is excellent, they have great prices and confirm each order by e-mail.
I bought a computer tower and the power supply was bad in it, after talking to a tech service guy, (Waited about 10 minutes on the phone before I got help.) he decided that they would just ship me a new one. They shipped it that day and in less than a week I had it at home. Then I placed in the old power supply in the box the new one came in and sent it back to them. They never did charge my credit card for sending the power supply back, they gave me 10 days after receiving the new one to get the old one back to them.
The tech service was very polite and the person he switched me to for making the shipment was very courteous and polite.
Example of Upgrade Prices!
Here are some examples of their good prices.
You can get the AMD ATHLON XP 1800 Processor with a cooling fan and 3 years of warranty for $119.84.
DDR Memory is the memory to have, they have the MULTIWAVE 256MB PC2700 333MHz NON-ECC for $66.34.
Then you will need a good motherboard like the BIOSTAR M7VIF for $80.37. This is a motherboard made for the 333MHz DDR memory and it will also use the Newer and Faster ATA 133MHz hard drives.
Total cost for Motherboard, Processor and DDR memory is $266.55 plus shipping. Their shipping is reasonable but it varies in price depending on your location.
This is a nice low price for a performance upgrade!
Overall
Overall I would recommend them, it is also a great place to check out some new computer stuff and prices.
They also carry things like Digital Cameras, Scanners, Printers, Network Stuff and more, check them out you will like their prices and what they have.
They carry major brand names like Intel, AMD, HP, Western Digital and many more!
They also have an area to check out for specials on discontinued or refurbished items.
