As an owner of a Mr. Coffee iced-tea maker, I know from my experience that this is a complete and accurate review. I can amen the caution against putting its parts in the dishwasher. I ruined one of the pitchers by not reading the instructions on that. It warped the plastic beyond use.

My father had the older model also and my mother always washed it in the dishwasher. I think they actually still have the pitcher and it still works just fine. Sorry to hear that your's broke! :-(
