Sales Rep Lie to Get Commission

The Bottom Line: Avoid it as I have had much better luck with AT&T.

I bought a sprintpcs phone and service over a year ago. I got rid of it a month or so ago. It was okay, but with all the competition it's no better than the rest.

I was particularly ticked off by the sales rep who told me I get a $70 rebate on a phone by signing a 1 year contract. I wasn't going to get the phone otherwise, because it was kind of ugly (Motorola 4600?). Anyway, he filled out the form for me in the store, and submitted it immediately, so I didn't have to fill out any forms, which I thought was a good thing at the time, but I neglected to notice that he didn't give me a receipt for the submission. I waited 3 or 4 months, and finally called sprint rebate center, who promptly told me (one of the few straight forward answers you'll get from these people) that the rebate was for people who sign 2 year contracts, which I of course didn't. So I went back to the store but the reps were completely rude and told me they couldn't do anything. The guy was gone, I wasn't told why.

Perhaps this is an isolated incident, but still enough to make me never go back to spring ever again.
