Oooohhh and aaaahhhhhh for I am a Victoria's Secret girl. The touch of something smooth and silky against my skin makes me feel 100% woman and armed. Armed you say? Yes, armed because I know that at any moment I have complete control over my boyfriend with the silk, satin, and lace which makes him go "goo goo ga ga"! And this my friends is why I love to shop at Victoria's Secret. With a little help from Victoria, any woman can be armed and dangerous. *wink*
The Online Store
The online store is absolutely wonderful and filled with lots of goodies to suit your every need. It's really easy to navigate through using their drop down menus. Let's go over what they offer at the site.
Products
~Bras. Victoria is currently offering 7 different collections of bras from the very sexy bras to the t-shirt bras. If you are a first time Vicky girl, I strongly suggest that you go into a store and discover their bras since they all tend to fit a bit differently. Once you know their bras and how they fit, it makes it a lot easier to order online with confidence.
My two favorite bras are the Very Sexy deep plunge miracle bra (for those of us who were not blessed with big breasts) and the Body by Victoria convertible bra. With these two bras you are pretty much set to wear anything from casual to dressy. The average price for a bra is about $30. The miracle deep plunge bra is now on sale for only $27.
~Panties. Victoria is currently offering 3 different collections of panties in a lot of varieties. You can find your good ol grannies or even unleash that naughty girl in you with a V-string (or what my boyfriend likes to call dental floss). Even better, she just recently introduced a new collection of low rise thongs and v-strings for those of you who like to live on the darkside.
My personal favorites here are her cotton bikinis (not the signature ones) and all of the v-strings (I can't stand lines). The price for panties runs about $12-$18.
~Sleepwear. My personal favorite. Victoria offers a wide variety of sleepwear so I am confident to say that everyone can find something here. Her slips and baby dolls are wonderful and can make you feel like a million dollars. On those nights when you want to just feel cozy and warm, her boxer pajamas and sleep shirts are perfect.
I can't even begin to explain my personal favorites here so I'm just going to put it this way. I have one of every style sleepwear that they offer. Baby dolls are my favorite though, but for some reason I'm never in them for very long......(you can use your imagination here) My other favorite pj is the satin boxer ones. They keep you at just the right temperature throughout the night and feel wonderful against your skin. The prices for sleepwear runs anywhere from $30-$75.
~Clothing. What Victoria sells clothes?!?!? Yup, they sure do. You can only order her clothes through the catalog or online. They sell everything from business suits to shoes and belts. I occasionally find some wonderful clothes in this section. Her bra tops and camisoles are wonderful. Be really careful when buying from this section she has this way of making the clothes look really good in the catalog.
~Hosiery. Every working woman's worse nightmare...but somehow Victoria made wearing hosiery fun for me. Victoria offers many different styles of hosiery from thigh highs to normal pantyhose. Her garter belts are a must with the thigh highs. My personal favorite are her bridal garter hose, but I can't seem to find them anymore. Hosiery runs around $10-$12 a pair.
~Swim. Victoria offers 6 different collections of swim wear. She has some great styles and I love the swim wear accessories. My personal favorite is her Miracle Bra collection. Swim wear can cost you anywhere from $60-$100 a set.
~Gift & Beauty Boutique. Under their gift section you can find pre-packaged gifts or ideas. In their beauty boutique you can find Victoria's creams, lotions, body wash, and make up. I have never tried Victoria's make up yet so I can't help you with advice there. Her lotions come in great scents though.
~Bridal Collection. Victoria's newest line. I thought that this addition was a great idea since every new bride deserves to wear something incredible underneath her gown and not to mention something blue...

As you can see shipping charges are a mint so I try and wait until they offer free shipping and buy all the items I need for a few months in one order. It really is amazing how they charge you so much for shipping items that don't really weigh that much!
Hints, Hints, and Hints
*Now as you can see Victoria has a lot of offer every woman. Her stuff can get a little pricey, but this is why you should shop their sales. Their semi-annual clearance is when you should stock up to buy. During their sales you can find panties for $2.99 and bras for under $20. This is also the time to stock up on hosiery at around $3 a pair.
*There is a big sale going on right now at Victoria's Secret so swing by and check it out and free shipping on orders over $100 until 7/2/02.
*If you ever buy anything at regular price and then see it on sale a few weeks later in a catalog or online, call them up and tell them. They will refund you the difference.
*If you find something you like in a sale catalog or online and it's on backorder ORDER it! Once it becomes in stock, they will ship you that item at the sale price and they won't charge you card until they ship that item.
*Plan all your purchases at once so that you can take advantage of their coupons such as the $15 off a $100 order or free shipping for orders over $100.
*If you ever have a problem with their customer service just call and complain. They have always treated me fairly well and if I find something wrong with my order they will usually refund my shipping costs to send the order back.
*If you don't already, take advantage of the VS charge card. The silver card really doesn't have that many benefits so try to get to gold status asap. With the VS gold card you get 5% back on all your purchases at VS and nifty coupons in the mail and some are even for a free pair of panties with NO purchase necessary.
The Darkside of Victoria
*Regular shipping through Victoria takes around a week and a half so if you are in a hurry to find something sexy for a date DO NOT order online. Just run to your nearest VS store. It will be a lot faster that way. You can always tack on the extra fee for next day shipping if you don't mind that dent in your wallet.
*Quantities are limited. Hot selling items usually go out of stock really quickly and are put on backorder for months. She just loves to keep you waiting and waiting. Sometimes it's worth the wait, but usually when you see something you like you just want it now, not later, NOW. I am still on backorder for a shirt I order almost three months ago.
*Occasionally they will make mistake in their orders. I try not to phone in my orders because they have gotten my order mixed up a few times. For example, one time they sent me the wrong item and the other time they sent me the wrong bra size. I called customer service both times and they were more than happy to help me out. They even shipped out the bra in the right size the next day.
*Victoria is sneaky. Catalog prices will differ for the exact same item. So be careful not to get caught with the more expensive price. I always make sure that I check out their sale catalogs before I order from a regular one to make sure that I am getting the best price.
*The catalogs keep coming and coming and coming...kind of reminds me of the energizer bunny! Because the catalogs keep coming I keep ordering. *sigh* I wish they would at least give me a month break between each catalog, but I get around 2 catalogs a week sent to my house. I never knew how many different versions of catalogs she made.
*Victoria's Secret does not carry plus sizes but, Fredricks of Hollywood does!
My Conclusion
Overall, despite Victoria's little darkside I remain a loyal customer. I think every woman deserves to be pampered and Victoria tries to help out in that department. It's amazing what a little silk, satin, or lace can add to a bedroom. I know that my man and probably millions of other men thank Victoria everyday. So women, have a little fun and let's be armed and dangerous!
