First, my background. I shoot digital and primarily produce images for display on a monitor. For the occasions when I want to do a print, I'll use PhotoAccess. Typically I'll do prints in 8x10 format, or 4x6's for proofing. The 8x10's get custom matted and framed.
Most of the reviews you read here on epinions are relatively old. I've tested 9 services, some of which are now out of business. I found PhotoAccess to have the best color accuracy. When I do prints, they are usually 8x10 for display in frames. Color is critical to me. PhotoAccess delivers. PhotoAccess has a large variety of size options including digital aspect ratios. Turnaround time is amazing. I'm on the east coast, they are in Seattle, and yet I get my prints in 3 days. I'm not sure how that happens, especially since I'm using the low-cost shipping option.
The only tarnish here is the User Interface. There are times when it is slow. And it is difficult to do orders where you want 1 copy of one print, and 3 copies of another. It can be done, but it gets confusing. On the plus side, the upload app is a snap to use.
Search the Web for my other print service reviews (Ted Felix PhotoAccess).
I'm not affiliated with PhotoAccess other than as a customer.
