I got this phone as a gift before I went away to college and I'm glad to say it's a terrific little first phone! The sound quality is great outside and only mutes off ocassionally when used near certain electronics such as computers, televisions, and the like. It's size is another good advantage, making the Motorola m3097 fit easily into handbags and cell phone cases and not being a strain when used.
It is also very simple to use which is another reason why the Motorola m3097 is a great first phone. It's features such as voice mail, email, and simple dialing are made simple through it's easy-to-read dialpad.
