Taking surveys,however, can also earn us cash. And thus my songs of praise. Written with the newbie to online surveys in mind I guess there are two types of survey sites..one being those that list market research companies that conduct online surveys as part of their activities; the other being the sites of the market research companies themselves. It is the latter that is the focus of this Epinion, as they are the original survey sites. "Survey sites" has become a term that is fairly interchangeable with "survey sites that pay", in respondent circles. They are just the web sites of the market research companies that conduct online surveys, and where we are concerned, those that offer rewards for our participation. the research companies... Basically, research companies need data..to seek the opinions of a wide range of demographic groups before new products are launched, named, or changed, for instance. Traditionally, they might have sought the opinions of the general public through means such as telephones or written surveys. They have- (and still do)- called people into their offices for taste testing evaluations, or discussions known as focus groups. The internet has brought new methodology their way. Respondents from all walks of life are now eligible to participate in their research,online, with nothing more required than an email address and a few spare minutes. The companies, themselves, want us to join their panels. They can sell more research that way. They want to attract us to their sites. They need us. Which brings me, my friends, to the incentives. the incentives... You'll find surveys mentioned at money making forums and also at Epinions because as respondents, we are able to earn from them. I myself have earned well over a thousand dollars just for sharing my opinion. Many of us flock to sites conducting research in the hope more research and the money that can come with it, will come our way. Sometimes it does. I have been paid for my time by several companies. Sometimes it doesn't..I am yet to hear from around another hundred. That I admit. Don't expect to hear from everyone. Sometimes you have to be lucky as companies have prize draws..and we don't always win. I have been lucky though, so keep taking the surveys. the summary... So I guess, in brief, survey sites are research sites- and in circles like that here, refer to those that pay us in return for our opinions. And to be in the running to earn from them, we need to register our interest with them, by joining their panels. This is free. and my wise old opinion, to close: Sure survey sites as earners have been the much looked over second cousin to paid surfing..not given much attention on message boards unless they happened to have a referral program of sorts. I think they are worthy of more attention, though. Much much more. You are helping with research- that's fun! You can earn without even looking at advertising. And, in brief you can earn.  |
