I can't remember if mine came with an audio cable, but with a drive this fast, you can enable digital-audio if you really want to play music from your burner. Why waste the laser's lifespan by using it to just play audio?

Hmm...To be honest, I don't recall whether or not mine did. I don't think it did, but it didn't matter to me since I had no intention of using audio output from this drive anyway. I've made a habit of always having my CD-RW be a separate drive from my primary CD-ROM drive. That makes it easier to copy discs, it's faster, etc.
Sorry if you were disappointed by that, though.

You failed to mention that this expensive drive which you happily spent your hard earned money on does NOT include an AUDIO CABLE.
That should definitely be one of the CONS listed.
