The Bottom Line One of the most amazing ways to treat blemishes is easy and cheap--Sugar! Read my article for usage.
My rude house guests! I always felt as if I had the kind of zits that were like free-loaders overextending their stay (on my face!) no matter how hostile I made the living conditions (i.e. by using every single acne product out there). How I've tried to kick them out! There have been a few products that I have seen improvements ranging from drugstore brands to prescription medications. However, nothing actually got rid of my acne. I mean, I badly wanted a face that was completely spot free. Smooth like a baby's bottom. No more redness. No more achey bumps that can hurt when I touched my face. Yelch, and most of all, no more whiteheads! I know some of you can relate! From what I understand, about 90% of people who suffer from acne try to treat themselves without seeing a dermatologist. This can be for a variety of reasons that can include not having medical insurance. What I don't recommend I really don't recommend putting harsh products on your face in an attempt to "zap" zits. Most likely, you will end up drying your skin and causing more acne due to irritation. Stay away from "maximum strength" acne products. I have found them to only cause peeling, redness, and worse of all, my zits are still there, red and angry! Sweet success! Well, what I want to share with you is what has really really worked for me and although I am using prescription medication, the one thing that I think that has helped me the most in the most amazing way is an old folk remedy that not only works, but is cheap! (and I bet you already have it in your kitchen!) I have for the past six months been using two topical creams, Differin (a gentler form of retinol) and Cleotin, which kills surface bacteria. Like I said, I've been using these topicals for six months and there has been an improvement in that I'm not getting as much acne as before, but let's just say, these were not a miracle drugs for me. A couple of weeks ago I was reading a book on folk remedies, and there was one remedy that kept popping up, and I thought, Heck, why not try it? The remedy: Lather your hands with soap (I use a soap-free facial cleanser intended for oily skin) and add sugar (yes, sugar!) on your palms. Rub your palms together until the sugar dissolves, and then massage your face with the soap and sugar. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Do this for two weeks and then just once a week for maintenance. Would you believe, that after the first day, my resilient blemishes actually looked a tad bit smaller? After a week, my blemishes were nearly all gone and most importantly, no new ones had taken their place?! I'm currently in the middle of the second week, and I am just amazed. Truly truly astounded. I wish I had known about this folk remedy sooner so I could've saved the thousands of dollars I have probably spent in the past 10 years in my battle against the blemishes. I really don't know what it is about sugar that has this effect on zits, but it is doing something to them that even my prescription meds have not been able to do. Fast amazing results. According to the folk remedy you should see results in two weeks. I saw it after the first day and really obvious results by the end of the first week. Bear in mind that you should only wash your face no more than three times a day. I wash my face just twice a day, morning and evening, and that is when I use the sugar solution. This may work for you and it may not work for you, but really, what do you have to lose? It's cheap, easy, and if it works, you will be as amazed as I have been! So please please please give it a try and let me know how it has worked for you. As the motto for Iwon.com states, "Why wouldn't you?" |
