This generator is not a bad bargain for the price, (599 and up) but with that price you also get the problems that accompany it. I worked, untill a few months ago in a store that sold and serviced this line of generators. Generac generators in general were in the fix it shop more than any other brand, including times when they were not more than a month old! Most of the problems stemmed from the generator portion of the unit, and the wiring, not the gas powered engines. While the performance is very good, when they work properly, I would suggest that you look into other manufacturers first and compare them closely before you pick one because it is cheaper than the rest.
