Doesn't report what you watch

Tivo does not report what you watch to anyone. I wouldn't mind allowing them to report that in aggregate in return for extra services.
I don't watch live tv anymore, I let Tivo record everything since I can watch something already recorded while it's recording.
I no longer settle for just "the best that's on" I can now pick shows I want to watch ahead of time and have them waiting for me when I'm ready to watch.
The real advantages Tivo has over VCR's are:
Reliability - It works. I have made many mistakes setting up my VCR to record (I manage a computer network for a living.) Never a problem with Tivo. I don't worry about time or channel Tivo does all that.
I haven't felt bad about the money I spent on my Tivo once since I bought it. The user interface is really easy to understand.
