I think you should have asked a few more questions before assuming anything about video output....you didn't buy a DVD player -- you bought a PC with DVD drive. Also, it would be common sense that a notebook this small might not have every possible jack on it. Dell was stupid to tell you that you could get some sort of PC card for TV output from Dell itself -- usually that's in the form of a box/adapter you connect to the RGB output.
