The Nokia 3390 is a step above the 5165. Nokias are great phones. Afterall, they are the largest manufacturer of cell phones in the world. The 3390 is very compact, has great clarity and jammed packed with features.

I got my phone free from an internet offer. It even came with a great rebate offer (2, actually). One was from the service provider and the other was from Nokia. So, not only did I get a free phone, but I actually made money off the deal. It doesn't get any better than that!

The main difference between the 5165 and the 3390 is that the 3390 is sleeker, smaller. It also does not have an antenna. Not that the 5165 has a big one. The one feature I really like about the 3390 that the 5165 does not have is the vibrator. The 5165 can be used with a vibrating battery but has to be purchased separately.

These are sturdy phones. too. I have dropped mine down a flight of stairs and it was fine. I am glad I stuck with the Nokia. You can't go wrong.
