What a Nightmare?????

The Bottom Line: I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
Let me start out by saying that when I first checked into this hotel I had prior reservations and was happy until the following day. We slept peacefully that night and felt safe and secure. The following day it rained which really dampened our plans but we were making the best of it, until my grandson decided to go by the sliding glass door and he came away soaked; we looked and discovered that the sliding glass door was leaking badly. I called the front desk and they did immediately send a maintenance man to check it out. They asked us if we would like to move and we stated no as there were quite a few of us; as well as 2 babies. We put garbage bags and towels over the wetness and proceeded on with our day.
Well here is the nightmare. I was checking my banking account and see 3 charges for this hotel and I say wait a minute I only stayed 2 nights. Upon closer look the prices were not right. Here they charged me, taxed it and then taxed it again. So here I sit with an overdrawn bank account awaiting them to make it right. I told corporate office that I would NEVER stay or recommend Howard Johnson Express to anyone. I have since tried to get this straightened out and I am still awaiting the outcome of this. It is very frustrating at this point.
