First of all, lets talk about the primary function of any cell-phone, the ability to make calls and communicate. My Sprint cell phone USED to work pretty well, about 2 years ago. It's been downhill for the last 6 months. Dropped calls galore, static, choppy reception. Same thing happened to my girlfriends Sprint phone and not only in New York, but all over Texas and Florida I couldn't hear more than 25% of what she said due to static or dropout.

Secondly, lets go over the customer service. I've been using sprint services for about 5 years and I have in the last year dumped EVERYTHING sprint related. Sprint customer service is simply wicked sometimes whether it's long-distance, cell-phone, calling card, whatever. I've have some real problems with Sprint, the worst case involved them mistakeny reporting me to a credit agency and screwing my credit due to a computer error. They do everything they can to take your money, including charging you for calling customer service (happened to my girlfriend, but not to me).

Lastly, they have this scheme happening with their plans. Says Sprint: "Sir, while I have you on the phone, would you like to switch your plan to one of our new improved plans? You'll get 100 more daytime minutes for just an extra $2.99." Says you: "Sure." Sounds like a good deal, right? But guess what? Without knowing it YOU JUST RESTARTED YOUR 1 YEAR CONTRACT!!!! They didn't tell me or my girlfriend the bit about the contract starting over.
