Yeah I just looked, they sure don't ship to Isreal. It looks like they ship to just about every other place. Sorry :(

Yeah--I looked at that movie, looks like a goodie:) Most of their new releases are around the $20 mark and most older releases are in the $15-$16 range. Guess I should have mentioned that in my review! :P

Jill, thanks for the response.
I just visited DVDEmpire.com and it definitely looks like a great place to buy DVDs. I liked both the convenience and the efficient shipping. But I guess I'll have to stick to Netflix for my rental needs. Right now, I'm comparing prices of DVDs I want with both Amazon and DVD Empire (I'm hoping to purchase the DVD of A Beautiful Mind)...

No! I don't mind the questions at all! I am about 99% positive that you cannot rent movies at DVD Empire. I saw nothing about it while browsing or in reading the FAQ. I guess rent them from Netflix then buy them here? :P

Hey Jill,
As you can probably tell (or not), I'm a huge DVD buff and have been collecting DVDs the past year. I actually have never heard of this site (Amazon, Netflix, and HKFlix have been my main on-line sources for DVDs) but I'm gonna give it a gander right now...
Question: can you also rent movies there (a la Netflix.com) so that you can get a feeling of what the DVD quality is like? Or is it strictly for buying?

Customer Service! I'll have to check them out -- it seems DVD's are always a good gift for my hubby esp. since we're working on replacing our fave VHS with DVD's.
