| elmosmommy's Full Review: General Reviews of Verizon Customer Service |
I have had service with this company since Thanksgiving. I have to say their service is TERRIBLE. I have had numerous dropped calls, had to listen to recordings that the service was "too" busy, and TERRIBLE customer service. In an attempt to add time to my phone this weekend, I dialed the *611 (as directed). Since I was out of my "home" area the 611 number was not available-so I was directed to call the Nationwide customer service center. My call was then placed in a que and I was left on hold for over 25 minutes with no one ever picking up. I hung up. Tried to call again later-again I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes with no customer service agent ever picking up. All the while listening to the recording about how EASY it was to "freeup" my account. Again I gave up-I finally got thru to a human on the third try (after spending over an hour on hold total). I explained to the agent what had happened and recieved a "sorry". I was finally able to add time to my phone but was not pleased at the "service" I had received. So I emailed Verizon about the situation. According to the emails I recieved, Verizon EXPECTS their customers to sit on hold for long periods of time despite their advertising "If you have a problem it becomes our problem this first time you call". With the higher cost of this phone service and LACK of customer service, you would do well to steer clear of this company.
