I know that this opinion may not be read by a lot of people because it is about a motherboard, a little off the epinion highway mainstream. However, when I started building my own system earlier this year, a motherboard was the first thing I looked for, considering that everything pretty much has to revolve around it. I was very attracted to this motherboard because of the combination of features it offered with the very low price of $85. I was looking for something that could take a pentium II was well as pentium III due to the fact that I was going to start out with an inexpensive PII 450 MHZ I got from a friend. In the future,I 'll be able to upgrade up to the 1 GHZ chip if I want to. I can also add up to 1 MB of RAM which can be very helpful for those doing alot of video editing on the computer or intensive graphics. I also wanted something with the AGP 4X slot which this board has. Most high end video cards are on the 4X configuration now. There are plenty of PCI slots, five, and two USB ports for a scanner and a printer to be hooked up via USB. That pretty much sums it up. I got the thing because it was really cheap and had the same features I was looking for as boards that were forty and fifty dollars more. It is well worth and I have had no problems with it at all.
