A Celebration of Love- Valentines Day Gift Write Off

The Bottom Line It is a beautiful way to live your relationships all over again.
This year for Valentine's Day, my fiance and I have decided not to buy each other gifts, but to make them for one another. I loved this idea, and for me, the gift means more to me because of the time and love going into it.
I thought and though about what I could make for my fiance. Should I make a craft the relates to his interests? Should I make his favorite meal? Or allow him a baby-free day? There were so many ideas I had in my mind, but I couldn't narrow it down to one perfect gift.
Then inspiration hit! We were laying in bed one night, talking before we went to sleep. Our conversation had turned to our relationship, and every joy we shared, every struggle we over came. I would make a book of love - our love!
When my fiance goes to work and after my daughter goes to bed, I work on recalling our relationship and what I have learned from it and how it has benefitted me. I recall special moments we have shared, hardships we have concurred and the lessons learned from them, and poems we have written to one another throughout our time together.
My fiance and I send e mails to one another, almost daily, telling each other how much we love one another. I have gone through old files and e mails saved, and printed those off as a diary of us. I have also scanned and printed pictures of us, and our family as well.
My fiance is a very sentimental person. I know he is going to love this gift. I have loved making it! It has also made me appreciate the love we have, the strength our relationship holds, and how lucky I am to have him.
