The Bottom Line Make sure the stick just feels good in your hands. If ordering online, order 2-3 sticks to see how they feel, then send the other 2 back.
Choosing a lacrosse stick can take some time and effort if you want to purchase the right one. If you are an attack, you want to buy a stick with excellent accuracy/speed. (this is the position I play). Some Brine sticks such as the Typhoon and Tsunami are excellent sticks for attack. For STX, there is the Edge and the Arc. For a cheaper stick, try the Shamrock Rock-et. If you are a defender or a beginner, I find that it is easier to learn with a woodie, such as the STX Woodie. The best/most expensive brand for wooden stick is Cranbary, with stick mostly in the high $90-$130, depending on shape and lacing. No matter what, you'll find a LAX stick right for you if you spend a little time looking around for what's best for you. Don't fall for the cheap way out, usually the stick that are around $60+ are pretty good. |
