Re: how does it compare? (Reply to this comment)

Hi and thanks for the comment.
I haven't tried the Pledge Glo Mop, so I don't know how it would compare. I'm still quite pleased with the Swiffer WetJet, so I haven't felt the need to try anything else.

how does it compare? (Reply to this comment)
by ekratochvil
Do you know how this compares to the Pledge Go Mop? That is the one that I tried only because of the way the spray shoots out more evenly onto the floor. I don't care for the Go Mop so much and I'm afraid to buy a different model for the same reasons. I didn't see a Go Mop review yet, so I may write one. Let me know your opinion on that if you know... Thanks! :-)

I just wanted to let you know that based on your review (and others) I did buy the Swiffer Wet Jet today. With two dogs, one cat and endless children (where do they find all that mud????)I needed something other than my regular mop to keep the floors clean. Since I am a total scrooge and always want the best product for the least amount of money, your review was very helpful. I used the Wet Jet today for the first time and other than not seeing where the spray went, it did get my floors clean, even the sticky spots left by to much mud on the dogpaws. Everything you said in your review is "right on the money". Thanks again

Re: Well written and Informative (Reply to this comment)

Virginia, a cartridge will last for more than one mopping. I've been using the same cartridge for a month now. Of course it all depends on how big your floors are and how often you mop. But you shouldn't need to change the cartridge each time.

Well written and Informative (Reply to this comment)

I thought I was happy with the wet ones - but I "aint seen nothin' yet." Our two labs are non stop shedders, and Chuckie (the male) thinks nothing of barging in with mud dripping from his paws. Whitney (female) hates muddy paws, and if it isn't raining will spend an hour on the deck in the sun just grooming her paws. She isn't concerned, though, if she leaves black polk dots on the grey carpeting. I think the wet-jet will be a blessing. I am a little concerned, though, about paying $4 for a cartridge every time I need to mop the floor. I might just have to save it for when I know company is coming.

I am most likely moving to a house that has wood floors and this would work out well.
Great review

I was eyeing the Clorox Ready Mop as well, but since I'd read good reviews on the WetJet I decided on the WetJet. Guess I made the right choice. :)

That's the second review I've read in two days with high praise of the SWJ. Our new house has a kitchen about twice the size of the one in our townhouse that I already hate to clean. Thanks for the nice recommendation/review.

this product - the Clorox ready mop (because the wet jet tool forever to get to the costco). It bites the big one, so I may need to progress up to this brand.
I think it would be helpful for cleaning up all those oopsies you have with four kids.
nice review

I enjoyed this review. I have been tossing around the idea of buying one for a few weeks now.
You have made me even more curious about using one in my household cleaning.
Thanks for sharing,

Fiona, I haven't noticed any residue, but I really didn't notice any with the wet cloths either. The WetJet allows you to really saturate an area then mop it almost damp/dry. The WetJet cleaning pads are very absorbent, and quite different than the wet cloths.

A battery-operated mop?! I've GOT to have one! We actually have a couple of the Wet Cloth models and thought they were great for our multi-cat household. But this...!!!
Thanks for all the details! (I enjoy your sense of humour!)

I was using the swiffer wet cloths but found that they left my floors with a sticky residue. I thought about the wet jet but was worried about that happening. Did you notice any residue? Maybe I will get it.
Great review

I ... (Reply to this comment)

could really use one of these for just a quick clean up of our floors. I use the enviro-steamer, which I love, but sometimes it is a big deal to use this for a quick cleaning of the floor. We have one dog, who does manage to find all the mud/dirt in the yard and likes to bring it inside on my white tile. Yikes!
Great review ... I think that it is about time I get one!
