A 15 Year QVC Veteran Goes Online!

I have been a QVC viewer for 15 years. I was first drawn in when they had just 6 or 7 hosts, a much smaller selection, and there was a VERY good chance you could get on the air when you called if you wanted to. In that 15 years, I have become very faithful to QVC. Their quality can't be beat and their prices are good.
In the past 10 years or so, I have watched QVC become a MAMMOTH. They now have iQVC, automated telephone ordering, their own credit card, a magazine, a store in the Mall of America, and lots of hosts who are nearly as famous as some soap opera stars. I can't believe how far QVC has come!
I discovered QVC online when someone told me that you could view the "Today's Special Value" online.
In my never-ending quest to avoid human interaction whenever possible (LOL), I ordered a ring from iQvc. The ordering process was smooth, the item arrived when promised, and I never had to talk to an order taker at QVC.
Since then, I have bought earrings, many Bare Escentuals beauty products, Philosophy beauty products and a furniture polish.
The only thing I can think of that might be a sort of "bad" thing about iQVC is that their shipping prices can be high if you order more than one item at a time. I would rather pay a combined shipping cost and have all of the items sent together. QVC does not offer this option..you must pay each individual item's shipping cost. And, of course, the items are all sent to you individually. If you order 6 things on one day, you will receive 6 packages in the mail.
The best thing about iQVC is that you can take your time and compare items. Pictures of jewelry items can be enlarged for a closer, more detailed view just by clicking on the picture. Another nice thing is that if an item is out of stock, it will usually let you know immediately. For example, if a ring comes in a choice of ruby or emerald, and the ruby is out of stock, the drop-down menu will state something like this: "RUBY - WAIT LIST ONLY". If you want to order the emerald, you can still do that, or you can right then place yourself on the "wait list" for the ruby ring, and it will be shipped to you and billed to your credit card as soon as it is available.
I love QVC and am a VERY faithful customer. I have received nothing but quality items in 15 years. I also had their credit card at one time and had no problems with it. QVC's customer service is excellent. I have had just a handful of problems in 15 years. The times that I DID have a problem, QVC either replaced my item or refunded my money promptly. Once when I had a problem with just one component of a set of beauty products, they sent me TWO full-size bottles (a $35 value) free of charge.
Give iQVC a chance if you are looking for online ordering convenience!
