Best mouse I've ever had

I wanted a mouse that has a good feel. I tried different brands, and sizes, I really didn't like them because they were too small or they felt cheap. I purchased the IBM Optical Navigator, and I immediately knew that I'd found a keeper. The first thing you'll notice is that it looks a little different than usual. It has a ergonomic style, and it's larger than usual, which is exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect for someone with large hands or for someone who doesn't like the everyday blah feeling mice available today. It has a very sturdy feeling, and the response is excellent. Navigating is a treat using this mouse.
The Optical Navigator comes with a programmable forth button. At first I wasn't very interested in it, but after using for a while, I really liked it. I use it as a back button which is the default setting. It's a thumb button, and can be programed for a variety of uses. The scroll wheel has a very solid feel, and a nice addition is the scroll wheel lights up in a blue color.
The mouse comes complete with an installation cd. This is the only drawback in the whole thing. It loads very easily, and looks pretty impressive after it's on the computer. The only thing is - it doesn't always work properly. Sometimes the mouse would freeze on boot up. It doesn't always do it, but it happens enough to really be a pain. I finally changed mouse drivers, and that solved the problem. Now the mouse works great, and I love it. I don't know how this mouse will perform with "southpaws" though. The ergonomic design of it might make it a little difficult for left handed folks.
