Pros:Lightweight, sturdy, maneuverable, good reclining, folds up very nicely
Cons:Inadequate storage, constricting in winter
The Bottom Line: For durability, maneuverability, and size it's a good buy for anyone who can afford it.
Needing a new stroller for my daughter, I looked at several and decided on the Maclaren Concorde LX X268. While a bit expensive, it had many of the features I was looking for. It's very light -- perfect for carrying it and my daughter down stairs in the subway -- but also very sturdy. I don't know how many times it's been bumped and bashed in ways that would have damaged other strollers; there are only a couple of scratches here and there.
But what I really like about this stroller is its small profile. It's narrow, but has enough space (generally) for my daughter. It doesn't take up much room in public. And it's VERY maneuverable. I don't know how many times I've effortlessly dodged people in public with it.
On the downside, it's a tight fit for my daughter in winter. We don't have to shoehorn her into it, but it's pretty close. And the storage mesh on the bottom of the stroller really doesn't hold all that much. With a rain shield and sun screen, there's barely enough room for anything else.
Overall, though, the Maclaren Concorde LX X268 is a great stroller if you can afford it. Far better than the other brands I've owned or tried.
