My Story
If you are looking for a quality product that is affordable and attractive, the On My Way system is for you. After having two boys, and never splurging on an expensive system, but opting for the car seat and separate stroller instead, I never knew what I was missing out on until I purchased my own system for the first time. Because I knew this was going to be my last child, and I was having a girl, I compared this system to others such as The Eddie Baur System and another system in the same price range by Cosco. For features and price, this one had the others beat.

System Features and Advantages-the Car Seat and Base
The On My Way travel system consists of a car seat, base and stroller. The car seat features attractive navy styling which is suitable for a girl or boy. The canopy is very large and has a cute ruffle that dips down a bit, which offers better sun protection for the baby. The seat is comfortably padded and easy to remove for washing by simply looping through the left buckle at the back through the fabrics. The gray handle features a soft, rubber grip which is easy on the hands. It is also shaped in a "Z" which makes it comfortable to carry. It can be positioned in two ways: upright, for carrying and back for use in the stroller or car. The car seat can be used with or without the base. The main idea behind using the base is that it is easy to snap in and go, without having to fumble with adjustments on your seat belt. I have encountered many times where my baby has fallen asleep in her seat, so it is a pleasure to simply snap her in instead of trying to loop the seat belt through and try to adjust it without disturbing her.

Did you know that over %60 of car seats are installed incorrectly? With a base, you can ensure you are placing your baby safely each time in the vehicle, always rear-facing on forward-facing seats. To make sure you properly place this car seat in, always make sure the handle is lowered and is resting firmly against the back of the seat. This seat will hold an infant from 5 to 20 pounds, and 19 to 26 inches in height. This seat is dangerous for premature infants because they may have difficulty breathing in the sitting position. Statistics prove that placing your child in the rear seats are safer, so I recommend doing this at all times, if possible, never in the front if you have an air bag, of course. When using the seat in the stroller, it simply locks into place rear-facing with the cup holder for baby removed. The handle must be in the back position and again, it is wonderful to not disturb a sleeping baby by transferring the to a separate stroller from their infant seat.

The Advantages of the Stroller
The stroller features a large canopy with plastic view window to keep an eye on baby. It has effectively kept all wind and sun out of my baby's face by placing the infant seat on the stroller as described above, then pushing the canopy to meet up with the canopy of the stroller. There is also an elasticized band of fabric on the stroller canopy which can be placed over the car seat canopy, giving a virtually draft-free environment for baby. We took our baby out in the early spring with this, when the wind was quite nippy and blowing, and she was kept warm and snug at all times with this stroller. I really appreciate the cup and gadget holder to hold your morning coffee as you go for a walk or your older kids drinking cups and your keys, cell phone in the other compartment. The stroller is made with heavy-duty plastic and the fabric is %100 polyester. Rest assured, the fabric meets the flammability requirements of the California Bureau of Home Furnishings. The handle is comfortably padded with a foam material, is navy in color and has a large, easy-steering plastic handle below the cup holder for one-handed steering. The stroller collapses by pressing two levers on each side down in a step-mode, which takes some getting used to. The wheels are a standard size and offer no bells and whistles, but they are practical for your average stroll or mall excursion. This model also features a large basket at the bottom which is actually larger than other baskets on the more pricey strollers. {Hey, the more room the better, when you have three children, I say!} The seat reclines in two positions-completely down, and upright. I know some people suggest using a mall stroller and nixing the idea completely of a travel system, but if you have ever seen an infant fall asleep in one of those cheap, upright strollers you know that it can't be comfortable on their neck. This stroller offers all the convenience of other deluxe strollers without the cost!

The Cons of The System
Perfection is hard to come by, but I think this model has come pretty close. The only con I found was that it took me a few tries to get used to collapsing the stroller, and it does take up a lot of room in my trunk. Otherwise, I have no qualms with this system.

Care of Your System
Cleaning the system is essential to maintain your investment. Considering the stroller will be used from birth to about four years old, proper cleaning of the wheels with a cleanser that is non-abrasive is recommended. To clean the fabrics of the stroller, you must use a mild detergent, wash in cold water in the delicate cycle, don't wash it with other items, don't use bleach and tumble dry it for 15 minutes. For health reasons, the fabric should be washed on a regular basis in unison with the amount of use the system gets. I wash mine every two weeks to keep dust mites and bacteria in check.
