Stop Looking - These Are IT.

Written: Jul 03 '02 (Updated Jul 03 '02)
Pros:Sound Quality, Price, Design, Lightweight, Warranty
Cons:Comfort Strap is Plastic
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for non-professional headphones, you cannot beat the JF30's. It amazes me that there is this level of quality at such a low price.

First of all, The picture shown is incorrect. The picture given shows the JF20's/JF25's. The JF30's are a folding design, with a 27mm element size, which is 13mm smaller than the JF25's.

I bought these earphones so i could listen to music at work. I didn't want huge wonky looking phones that would feel like i was wearing a helmet. These phones are extremely light - you forget you're wearing them after a while. They are also put together with alot of screws, rather than sketchy glue and press fitting - meaning you can attempt to fix them if you have a problem

The sound is unreal. Honestly. I am hearing sounds in my music and games that i never heard before - the range is excellent.

The only con is that the comfort strap is soft plastic instead of synthetic/real leather. But for the price you can't expect much. It really doesn't make a difference.

The biggest surprise was the price. I bought them for $15 Canadian, and i've noticed that they are selling for $28 Canadian on various websites. I bought them at Futureshop in Ottawa, maybe they screwed up the price.

They have a lifetime warranty, meaning your $15 is going to give you a pair of headphones for life. You dont have to worry about them breaking after a year like most other products, you can beat the sh*t out of them with no worries. But again, for $15 you don't have much to lose.

I am not a crazy audio junkie, nor do i need the best pair of earphones - let's be honest - after a certain price you are paying for gimmicks and/or the name. They even came with an adapter plug for the larger socket. And the jacks are also gold plated.

I recommend these to anyone looking for a very good pair of earphones. They are not crappy phones although the price would suggest that. They are definitely worth the money and are an excellent product overall.
