This game didn't really change my life but overall it is one of the best games I have ever played. It's ability to grasp you right from the beginning is amazing. And each character seems so real. And how can you forget to mention Gogo, I think he/she is one of the most powerful FF characters ever.

Excellent Review! (Reply to this comment)

I'm fairly biased, because I think this is the best RPG ever. You did a masterful job of breaking down WHY it is the greatest RPG ever. Awesome job!

FF3 was great :D Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
But the original is still my favorite... I remember how devastated I was when my NES died shortly after I actually found a copy of FF in a pawn shop...
But not too long ago, my bf found it for me and put it on my computer and I got to play it all over again :D

Makes me wanna... (Reply to this comment)

...track down a SNES system just so I can see what I missed out on in FF3 (sounds like quite a lot).
I get so addicted once I start a FF game that I have to pace myself otherwise I'll be up 20 hours a day playing. I bought Chrono Chross about a month ago, and it's ok, but FF is way better.
Purrific review.

This is my favorite Final Fantasy game (with FF7 as a far second), and I agree with all you've said... specially about Kefka. He's way cooler than Sephiroth. :P
Cheers, fellow SNES freak!

Bah, 2 is better! (Reply to this comment)

While I agree that FF3 is superior to all the PSX efforts, I can't say it is better than 2 (or 5 for that matter). To me the characters are far too similar in battle and ultimately (no pun intended) you need only to use ultima repeatedly to be successful. In FF2 you really had to rely on the strenghts/weaknesses of each character but in 3 that is pretty much ignored. However, it is still a wonderful game and you reviewed it well.
