Pros: Excellent print quality, particularly on special photo paper. Relatively small footprint, memory card support.
Cons: Noisy, sometimes color correction features do not work properly.
The Bottom Line: Overall, an excellent product. The low price is just icing on the cake!

First off, I should say that I use my Epson 785EPX in conjunction with my Olympus 3040, which is a very good digital camera. I also print scanned photos using the Epson, and have had good results all around.
This printer is simply an excellent buy - it prints outstanding prints. Using special photo paper (I use the Epson brand) pictures look like they came from a photo development lab. Several of my digital photos (taken with my Olympus 3040 digital camera and printed with the Epson) sit in frames hung up in my house.
I print both color shots and black & white. The Epson does a GREAT job printing black and white photos.
While the photo paper generates the best results, the Epson also does an above-average job printing on plain laser jet paper.
The fact that the printer has a memory card slot is a plus as well, though my Olympus uses Smart Media, which requires a new card (I missed the Epson free rebate to exchange the CF card adapter for a Smart Media adapter).
Minuses are few - the printer is quite noisy, which I see as a fact of life with any ink jet printer. Also, if you go several days (say, 7 or more) between print jobs, you should clean the ink jets. Again, I see this as pretty typical with ink jet printers. The color correction features bundled with the Epson tend to over adjust or just plain miss the mark, but you can disable them and use whatever photo editing software you like (I use Adobe Photo Deluxe).
