On Costner: AGREED! (Reply to this comment)

Good review. I fully agree with your comments on Kevin Costner. The guy is a waste of celluloid. He has the emotional warmth and depth of an amoeba. I still shudder when I think of how he butchered JFK *shudder* He only does well in movies whose principle characters are intentionally degage (e.g. Dances with Wolves, which succeeded primarily due to the excellent direction)

Me too. This was seriously one of the funniest movie reviews (that actually managed to stay on topic) I've read on Epinions.

Finally someone realizes Kevin Costner sucks? You mean there's people out there who actually think he's any good? It's a bleak, bleak world...

Good review. Finally, someone else sees how overrated Costner has become. Over 50% of his films are turkeys, yet no one seems to notice.. bravo.

for giving the low down on Pretty Boy Costner. I always said he and Mel Gibson took lessons at Bob Redford's school.

Silverado, yes, Field of Dreams, yes, anything else I've seen Costner in NO. This movie must have been a chore to watch. Thanks for warning us off!

I still can't understand what people see in DWW. Travelogue? Good film? You've got to be kidding.

And here I thought you were a sensitive, new age guy! How about Dances With Wolves? I think he showed loads of talent there, but he does have a lot of duds anymore. Still is cute!

Costner BUGS me, too (Reply to this comment)

I think Madonna said it best in her film "Truth or Dare" when Costner greets Madonna backstage calling her show 'neat.' Then when he's gone, she sticks her finger down her throat. Your review made me laugh in total agreement! And I don't even have to see this movie to know you're right.

Dragonfly (Reply to this comment)

I am constantly amazed that he continues to get such high-profile work in Hollywood after clunkers like Waterworld, The Postman, The Bodyguard and so on ad nauseam—essentially, elbowing aside other actors who could have done so much with his roles.

Yeah, me too. But you forgot to add 3,000 Miles to Graceland on his resume of dreck!

A stupendous bashing of what appears to be yet another ego-trip for our good friend Kevin Costner. Like many people, I once respected Costner. I thought he was very good in Robin Hood: Men of Thieves and I even liked him in The Bodyguard! But my suspicions were confirmed and I just somehow knew that this film was gonna be an uber-stinker.

Actually, this film kinda reminds me of both What Dreams May Come and Flatliners. It even appears to have shades of The Frighteners. But what I find shocking is that this film, Dragonfly was produced by eighty(!) people! Are they kidding me??

Anyway, I'm done babbling. Thanks for writing this up. I won't spend the Income Share I earned on this piece of junk. =)

The name Kevin Costner..... (Reply to this comment)

...on a movie marquee is now the kiss of death, as far as I'm concerned. Too bad, because he's done some very good work in the distant past.

Good skewering, Dave.

One more bullet dodged... (Reply to this comment)

My wife went and saw this with her work--her boss was paying for the employees night out, and I declined to go see it with her. Which on the one hand was a mistake, because she was all weepy about how lonely she was later on...but on the other hand, I think a few tears was worth my Not Having To See Another Kevin Costner Movie.

Fine review--I'm glad YOU saw it.

Once upon a time KC took interesting roles in interesting movies. However, lately everytime I see something with him I find myself yawning. Thanks for the warning about this one.

Good review. It'll keep me from spending money on this.
