I agree. These designations and subsequent revisions seem to have been the product of "brain storming." When will we return to the concept of having one talented person produce a draft, and then having the group make suggestions? [Why that concept is -- Epinions!]
Most helpful.

Gee, I thought I was lemony refreshing! But I appreciate the vote of confidence. . .
I guess it's better to have more than one choice that applies than to have none that apply. More blessed still is not to have any mandatory fields except, perhaps, pros and cons.

Well, epinions should not encourage or legitimate such reviews, except perhaps by the few who are psychic. (I'm not irony-impaired, just choosing to be stern on this!)

You are... (Reply to this comment)

1) Absolutely right.
2) Great music for exercising.
3) Invigorating, yet lemony fresh.
4) Going to burn for this one.
That's all your choices, Stephen. Epinions has mandated that all their members must fit into one of these categories. Look for the changes coming to a profile page near you very soon...
[For the record, you ARE 1) Absolutely right.]

I agree whole-heartedly... (Reply to this comment)

the choices are too few and you should have the option of not selecting all of them.
My reasons are identical to yours.

Psychic viewers (Reply to this comment)
by jrk
Based on some of the movie reviews I've read on site, there are already a fair number of reviewers writing opinions on movies they are "waiting to see in the future"! Hope someone is listening, since the drop-down menus are one of the worst new features in all categories. They remind me of those courtroom scenes where the prosecution is demanding a yes or no answer. I feel like a badgered witness!

I really respect you for speaking out . . . (Reply to this comment)

I just hope somebody from Epinions sees these comments, and I hope they don't pull that same stunt in books whenever it gets up and running.

...now I just hope that someone listens to you. They are also doing this in the music category, as mshawpyle pointed out in a not-too-subtle jab in his review called'Scent Of A Keyboard'.
I guess that it's too much to hope for to ask that the site be useful to those who aren't as interested in 'popular' culture, but there are a lot of us who appreciate your efforts.
