Hi Just wanted to tell you (Reply to this comment)

I was by. I didn't rate because no matter how you write this I will never understand it..I know I have a mother - she is visiting from Florida and when she stays with me she is bored. If that has anything to do with this I can relate :) jo

Go to CPU Soft Menu, then change the CPU speed to user select or user define, don't remember the exact words. A few other menu selections show up for User Defined cpu speeds (the menu where you can change clock multiplier and bus speed). One option is "Speed Error Hold". Make sure that "speed error hold" is NOT enabled.
Keep in mind, Intel has locked cpu multipliers on new cpu's so you can't change that without modifying the chip any more, unfortunately.

Strange... I looked thru the entire BIOS and didn't see anything about turning off the warning. I am currently using the latest firmware (SS).

Nice review.
Have one of these running a 1.1 ghz celeron cpu now, but clearly this board is at the end of its service life. I liked the BH6 a lot, found it easier to set up than an ASUS board. I originally bought it with a celeron 300A and overclocked to 450 for a couple years. This board is one of the "classics"
There is a setting in the BH6 bios to disable the overclock warning. The bh6 came out before Intel locked the cpu multipliers, and at that time (I thought) it was a great choice, particularly to go with the celeron 300a. As you say, not so great for adjusting bus speeds.
I have run this motherboard from Win95, to 98 to 98SE, and recently to XP, it has always shut down
properly. Fortunately, we never have run into the posting problem you mentioned either.
