Create a Top Ten Web Site
Six (6) months ago I knew nothing about the internet or web page building. Today, I have a GeoCities web site that has received over 5,000 visitors and is listed in the "Top Ten" ranking positions of the major search engines.
I began by using GeoCities page Wizard, then Page Builder and after learning enough about HTML, I used GeoCities Advanced HTML Editor.
Win Web Site Awards
I cannot say enough good things about GeoCities! Through their free service I have been able to create a useful and attractive web site and in addition have won several web site awards.
If your new to the web, GeoCities is the best place to begin. They provide tons of free info to help you along the way.
"Free" Means Advertisments
The negatives, while few, include required advertisements that appear on your web pages. In addition, some Award Sites lower your rating because of GeoCities advertisements and proprietary HTML codes that Yahoo places on your pages.
Go For It!
In all, it's a great place to begin. Have fun and learn at the same time!
